Anyone can be a leader — but what about a servant leader? The main goal of a Servant Leader is to serve others. Cumulative Reflection on Workshop Experience

Participating in the four workshops: Navigating Multicultural Organizations, Practicing Servant Leadership, Leading with Empathy and Compassion, and Addressing Conflict in Teams, has shaped my understanding of effective teamwork and leadership. Each session provided valuable lessons that I can apply to both my personal growth and my future career as an aerospace engineer.

From Navigating Multicultural Organizations, I learned how cultural backgrounds influence people’s values and communication styles. Understanding these differences will help me collaborate effectively with diverse teams in a global workplace. Practicing Servant Leadership taught me that great leaders focus on serving others by listening, empathizing, and supporting their team’s success. I plan to apply this by seeking feedback and ensuring that my group members feel valued and motivated.

Leading with Empathy and Compassion emphasized the importance of truly listening and understanding others’ perspectives. By improving my ability to communicate empathetically, I can foster stronger relationships and create a more supportive work environment. Addressing Conflict in Teams showed me that conflicts are natural but manageable when approached with the right strategies. I learned to adapt my conflict-resolution methods depending on the situation to maintain teamwork and productivity.

These workshops have helped me grow as a culturally aware, empathetic, and adaptable leader. I will use these lessons in my aerospace engineering career by embracing diversity, leading with compassion, and resolving conflicts constructively. These skills will help me to work effectively in collaborative environments and contribute meaningfully to future projects and innovations.
